Although you should be taking any opportunity to relax and unwind while pregnant, it is essential to make sure you’re taking all the necessary precautions when using a hot tub. 

For Children:

If you have children playing in the hot tub, it is essential to make sure you’re keeping the temperature 95 degrees and lower. It is also a good idea to monitor the length of time they spend in the hot tub, as children should not be in hot water for too long. Fifteen minutes is the maximum amount of time they should be in a hot tub. Of course, they should always be supervised when in a hot tub and have water at their access to stay hydrated.

For the Elderly:

Once again, it’s important to consult your doctor prior to purchasing or using a hot tub when dealing with health concerns. Your doctor might suggest relaxing in warm water rather than hot, simply for the sake of your health and well-being.
